It may sound ridiculous, but a recent study at the University of Texas showed that drinking a can or bottle of a diet soda a day actually increased your chances of becoming obese by 40%. Of course, part of this could be that the study participants were already putting on a few pounds and switched to diet soda. What’s important to take away from this study is that making healthier choices is only one part of the equation. You must gradually begin to make healthy lifestyle changes overall, in regards to your diet and exercise, to achieve your health goals. But, step-by-step, you can do it!
